USGS is the current public event source. GDACS is fetched only for private flood and landslide discovery; a healthy GDACS row does not mean those records were published. A healthy source also cannot guarantee completeness because upstream agencies may revise, delay or omit records. USGS becomes delayed after five minutes without a completed fetch and stale after fifteen minutes. GDACS becomes delayed after thirty minutes and stale after two hours.
